Rust Veto 4214 is a rust preventive that is exceptionally stable in wet conditions, particularly where there is alkaline, acid or solvent emulsion rinse water left on parts. It offers prolonged effectiveness where rinsing is not always thorough. Rust Veto 4214 releases displaced water within minutes and, on evaporation, leaves a very thin, transparent protective film.
Rust Veto® 377-HF actually raises water off wet metal to coat the entire surface with a long-lasting film. The polar attraction for metal makes this preventive “creep” across the metal’s surface, spreading over a large area.
Rust Veto® 342 is our industrial-grade version of Cosmoline® and protects iron and steel for years. Rust Veto 342 is used to protect equipment or material stored in sheds for long periods. Its transparent film allows for visibility of any stenciling on parts, making it possible to easily identify any markings on stored items.
HOUGHTO-GRIND 60 is a synthetic chemical grinding fluid formulated to give maximum rust protection, no foam, no petroleum oil and using surface active compounds to keep the wheel clean. It is used by diluting with water, forming a greenish transparent solution.
HOUGHTO GRIND 50 is a synthetic concentrate readily soluble in water for grinding and machining. It was developed primarily for grinding, but HOUGHTO GRIND 50 also has lubricity and anti-weld additives that make it an excellent coolant for turning and similar operations.
HOCUT 807 is phenol-free and is formulated from solvent refined mineral oil and a composite emulsifier, anti-corrosion,EP lubricating system, providing long emulsion life without the problems associated with coolant degradation, caused by bacterial and fungal contamination. The high degree of corrosion protection has been achieved without the use of nitrite or other undesirable components.
Houghton’s international research and development team have produced a totally new high technology machining and grinding coolant, HOCUT 795. This product provides excellent heavy duty machining performance on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals without the use of chlorinated or sulphurised compounds. It has unique resistance to bacteria and fungal growth that is achieved without the use of traditional biocides.
Cut-Max 226 is formulated with an effective and stable additive package which provides anti-welding and extreme pressure characteristics for difficult operations on hard-to-machine ferrous and nonferrous alloys. Boundary lubricant additives are compounded into the base oil for excellent machining characteristics at all cutting speeds.
